State Human Rights Commission warns the District administration of dire consequences

Here is the scanned copy of  the letter forwarded to Chief Secretary, Police Superintendent and Collector Khandwa instructing them to take stern action.

The gist of the letter is as follows;

Human Rights Commission (HRC) reinforces the demands of maintaining water levels mentioned before. They also questions the lack of sensitivity of the state have in allowing people to drown like this! They also warn that as claimed in the complaint submitted, if the rehabilitation of people has not taken place according to the SC order, this is also tantamount to contempt of court. Based on the meeting and the picture given by activists, State HRC want the administration to immediately open the dam gates for water level to reduce, save people’s ‘precious” lives and if anything happens to anyone, the administration is to be held accountable for it.
